Job summary

Gensler seeks a Design Manager to lead delivery of high-performance facilities from our Phoenix office. You will oversee workflows, allocate resources, and act as primary liaison between client and project team, supporting data center and mission-critical projects.

The role emphasizes architecture delivery, multi-project leadership, and collaboration across disciplines to meet complex technical requirements and budget targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field; professional licensure preferred.
• 15+ years of experience across architecture and project management for complex facilities.
• Strong design delivery, budgeting, and client coordination capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership to client and team, communicating objectives, scope, and schedule.
• Offer strategically minded design support for organization, production and execution.
• Manage scheduling, budgets, staffing, and set-up with clients and contractors.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and fees; bid projects.
• Track financial performance: work plan, schedule, fees, changes, billings.
• Oversee project lifecycle from kickoff to close-out and post-occupancy.
