Qualifications

• 10+ years of product design experience with 4+ years in people management.
• Portfolio showing high-quality work in consumer or business financial products.
• Experience partnering with Risk, Compliance, or Legal on regulated financial products.
• Experience incorporating AI tools and practices into a design team's workflow.

Responsibilities

• Manage an initial team of designers and hire to grow the team.
• Co-create goals with product and engineering; translate strategy into plans.
• Raise the bar on Wallet quality and define new standards for SMB Banking.
• Stay hands-on on high-stakes decisions while coaching the team.
• Partner with PMs and engineering; coordinate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Data, Ops.
• Ensure Banking products fit into Gusto's financial ecosystem.
• Build individualized career plans for direct reports.
• Represent design needs to senior leadership.
