Mott MacDonald Bentley seeks a Design Lead to steer multi-disciplinary design across water projects, directing a team of engineers and designers in the UK water market. You will shape affordable, low-carbon design options and oversee design quality, cost and schedules to meet client expectations.

Expect leadership in project controls, client liaison, and a commitment to safety, diversity and inclusion. A Chartered Engineer with water/wastewater experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering is required.
• Chartered or Incorporated engineer membership preferred.
• Experience in water/wastewater design projects.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 Designer duties.
• Strong technical knowledge across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of multi-disciplinary design for projects/programme.
• Develop and lead teams of electrical, mechanical, civil, and process designers.
• Develop affordable, low-carbon solutions and manage opportunities and risks.
• Deliver detailed designs to meet construction needs and client acceptance, managing cost and schedule.
• Provide direction on project controls and ensure quality, programme and cost adherence.
• Maintain positive client relationships at project level.
