Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking an experienced Engineering Design Manager to lead capital project delivery in a pharmaceutical environment. You will own design standards, coordinate with A/E firms, and drive governance across teams to ensure safe, compliant, and value-driven outcomes.

The role requires a BS in Engineering and 5+ years in pharma/ API settings, with ability to travel ~25%. You will collaborate with Project Managers and Engineering Tech Center to align schedules and KPI targets.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
• 5+ years manufacturing and/or engineering experience in pharma or API networks.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; visa sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification of applicable Engineering Design Standards and regulatory requirements.
• Own design delivery for capital projects and coordinate design reviews.
• Develop design requirements and maintain the design schedule.
• Coordinate A/E firms and verify earned value progress systems.
• Expedite design decisions and ensure alignment with approved intent.
• Resolve design issues and provide design governance.
• Identify design inefficiencies and propose improvements to meet hours plan.
• Assist with SOPs and work instructions for design/verification.
• Review and approve key project personnel with the Project Manager.
• Support KPI reviews and project verifications plans and risk assessments.
