Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies seeks a Reliability Engineer to develop the next generation of low‑voltage electronic architectures. You will guide ECU designs to meet mission and reliability targets, focusing on failure modes and how to improve designs.

You will lead DFMEA/PFMEA activities, create validation plans, and work with internal teams and suppliers to verify corrective actions. A strong emphasis on root‑cause analysis and accelerated testing is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline required.
• Experience with FMEA processes and leading cross‑functional teams.
• Python proficiency and experience with reliability statistics.

Responsibilities

• Drive product reliability for vehicle control and low‑voltage electronics from concept to production.
• Establish DFMEA/PFMEA guidelines and countermeasures with hardware teams.
• Develop validation strategies and accelerated testing methods.
• Lead root‑cause investigations and coordinate with suppliers and labs.
• Audit contract manufacturers to ensure DFMEA/PFMEA compliance.
• Analyze fleet/field data to inform future ECU standards.
