Job summary

Axis Communications in Lund, Sweden is seeking a Design for Production Engineer to ensure products are suitable for high-volume manufacturing. You will work within the Industrialization Production and Test teams on assembly-friendly designs and efficient production processes, collaborating with ME, Electronics, Production, Software, Supply Chain and manufacturing partners.

This role supports a five-phase development cycle spanning one to two years; you will initiate design-for-assembly

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical or industrial engineering with interest in production.
• Experience or interest in production environments preferred.
• Proficient English for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Initiate workshops centered on design for assembly.
• Define assembly and production processes with manufacturing partners.
• Set design requirements for fixtures and verify delivery.
• Visit manufacturing site for pre-production validation (up to 30 days/yr).
