Job summary

The Honors College at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Design-Focused Human Computer Interaction (HCI) to begin September 1, 2027.

As a faculty member in the Honors College, you will teach two design-focused courses per year and two upper-level Honors seminars in your specialization, while mentoring Honors students in research/creative activity and participating in interdisciplinary outreach.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Design, HCI, or closely related field.
• Significant teaching experience at college/university level.
• Record of peer-reviewed research and/or external funding.

Responsibilities

• Teach two design-focused courses per year in the Honors College.
• Teach two upper-level Honors seminars in your specialization.
• Mentor Honors students in research/creative activity.
