Design Equipment Engineer page is loaded## Design Equipment Engineerlocations: Indianapolis, IN (MEP-SOL)time type: Full timeposted on: Posted 2 Days Agojob requisition id: JR105260### Key Responsibilities* Design mechanical equipment and fabricated components used in commercial and industrial systems* Develop detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications for fabrication and production* Collaborate with project managers, fabrication teams, and field personnel to ensure equipment designs meet project requirements* Review project specifications and customer requirements to develop appropriate equipment solutions* Support fabrication and production teams during the build process to ensure designs are executed correctly* Assist with design modifications and problem-solving when production or installation challenges arise* Maintain accurate design documentation and engineering records* Ensure designs meet applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and company quality expectations### Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred* Experience with mechanical design, equipment design, or industrial systems* Proficiency in **CAD software** such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design platforms* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication processes, and equipment layout* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills* Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, fabrication, and field teams### Physical Requirements* Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods* Ability to occasionally visit fabrication or production areas* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when needed* Ability to work in both office and shop environments* Up to 40% travelE Solutions was built in response to customers seeking a smarter, more sustainable “green” approach to industrial systems.
