Job summary

Valero is seeking a Supervising Design Engineer to coordinate design and drafting services for the Wilmington Refinery and Asphalt Plant. You will lead contract engineers and drafters, develop work scopes, and manage cost estimates to deliver cost-effective design solutions.

The role requires on-site work at the Wilmington Refinery, with a salary range of $100,500 to $138,100 and a focus on ensuring design quality and compliance with corporate standards and MOCA QAQC programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or equivalent experience in piping design/drafting projects.
• Experience with design and drafting for refinery or process facilities preferred.
• On-site work at Valero Wilmington Refinery is required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and prioritizes design work for refinery projects.
• Supervises contract engineers, designers, and drafters and coordinates resources.
• Develops and maintains cost estimates for engineering and drafting hours.
• Ensures design compliance with PSM, Shell standards, and local codes.
