Amphenol Fiber Systems International (AFSI) in Allen, Texas is seeking a Design Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in creating advanced fiber optic products and technologies. The role guides development, supports current products, and collaborates with product management, operations, and sales to meet business goals.

Responsibilities include shaping design direction, ensuring documentation quality, and managing resources to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience leading new product development from concept through production.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the engineering team and guide product development from concept to production.
• Interface with product managers, sales, and customers to understand requirements and trade-offs.
• Plan and organize engineering efforts; ensure quality, schedule, and cost targets are met.
