TPC Wire & Cable Corp. invites applications for a Design Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and reliability of connectorized products, aligning with Product Management, Operations and Sourcing to deliver high-quality offerings.

You will drive technical direction, oversee projects from concept to launch, and mentor engineers in a hybrid Ohio-based team, delivering manufacturable, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 8+ years progressive engineering experience in product design.
• At least 3 years in technical leadership or people management.
• Experience leading design projects from concept through launch in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead Design Engineering team and manage engineers I–III.
• Set technical direction and design standards for new products.
• Oversee design for manufacturability, cost, and schedule targets.
• Translate market needs into clear product requirements with PM.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Sourcing, Operations, and Quality.
• Review and approve cost estimates, concepts, and tradeoffs.
• Champion process improvements in design reviews and CAD libraries.
• Support dual-sourcing and value-engineering initiatives.
• Plan portfolio, allocate resources, report status to leadership.
