Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of mechanical design experience, including direct connector product design.
• Strong SolidWorks proficiency with 3D modeling and drawings.
• Experience with polymers and plastic materials.
• Knowledge of connector design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with new product development from concept through production.
• Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance stack‑up analysis, and DFM.
• Experience with cable assembly design preferred.
• Familiarity with signal integrity preferred.
• Experience with high‑speed or high‑density interconnect products preferred.
• Experience conducting FMEA and leading design reviews.
• Mentoring junior engineers and designers.
• Ability to travel ~10%.
• Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen or permanent resident).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new connector and cable assembly products based on customer and market requirements.
• Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and design documentation using SolidWorks.
• Lead and participate in design reviews throughout the product development process.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and process engineering to transition new designs into production.
• Perform GD&T and tolerance stack‑up analysis to ensure product functionality and reliability.
• Optimize product designs for manufacturability, performance, reliability, and cost.
• Provide technical support to customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Maintain engineering documentation and revision history.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Support improvements to existing products and engineering processes.

Compensation: $105,000–$125,000 (negotiable based on experience)
