Qualifications

• BS Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent required, with strong design background.
• 5–10 years of mechanical engineering design and analysis in industrial rotating machinery.
• Experience with ASME Y14.5 and contract design standards is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall new unit design, including mechanical design, calculations, and material selection.
• Develop schedules, progress reports, and coordinate with quality, supply chain, and operations.
• Direct and mentor 1–6 reporting engineers and review their outputs.
• Translate contract design specs into manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and test plans.
• Collaborate with managers to define design strategies and ensure contract goals are met.
• Perform design reviews and ensure training and development of team members.
