Job summary

Rolls-Royce invites a Design Engineering Intern for a 12‑week summer program in Indianapolis. You will develop design definitions meeting system requirements, review concepts, and collaborate with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to ensure timely delivery of hardware.

Applicants should be pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Computer, Materials, or Software Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA and US citizenship. Travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum GPA: 3.0.
• US citizen required for consideration.
• Willing to travel between locations during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design solutions that meet component requirements.
• Perform mechanical design analysis, hand calculations, and tolerance stacks.
• Review design definitions and support manufacturing to produce conforming hardware.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to deliver products.
