Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis offers a Design Engineering Intern position for a 12-week Summer program. You will design definitions that meet system requirements and product attributes, with exposure to manufacturing engineering and product definition.

You will review design concepts, complete design reviews and work with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to deliver products. Minimum GPA of 3.0 and U.S. citizenship required; travel between sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Material Science, Software Engineering or related degree.
• Minimum GPA: 3.0.
• U.S. Citizen for work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design solutions addressing component requirements.
• Perform mechanical design, analysis, hand calculations and tolerance stacks.
• Execute validation plans and show component compliance to requirements.
• Create detailed component drawings and support manufacturing to produce conforming hardware.
