Job summary

The Toro Company is seeking engineering-focused students for its 2027 Summer Internship Program, based in Beatrice, Nebraska. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop integrated mechanical, electrical, and software systems, contributing to real-world projects from day one.

The internship runs May 17 to August 6, 2027, with an anticipated hourly rate of $22–$28 and opportunities to volunteer. ABET-accredited majors preferred; CAD/MS Office skills are a plus.

• Proficient in mechanical systems with a commitment to continuous learning and application.
• Strong reasoning and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience with MS Office and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop integrated mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
• Responsible for Creo-based modeling, drawing creation, and documentation release.
• Build and evaluate prototype designs.
• Conduct evaluations using lab testing, FEA, and engineering simulations.
• Perform data collection and analysis, reporting findings to stakeholders.

The 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027. Candidates must be available to start on May 17 and participate through the duration of the program. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. What Will You Do?

• Experience with MS Office and CAD software.
