Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Design Engineering Co-op in Richmond, VA. The role supports the design engineering team with improvements to existing products and new designs, collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineers to finalize drawings and design updates.

Responsibilities include contributing to DFMA, partnering with manufacturing engineers on improvements, and performing root cause analyses for transformer test issues.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with Electrical or Mechanical Engineering major.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position; relocate within 50 miles of the work location will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Design Engineering Team with improvements to existing products and new product designs.
• Work with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to finalize design drawings and updates.
• Contribute to DFMA processes and product improvements from feedback.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers on implementing improvements.
• Investigate transformer test issues and provide root cause analysis documentation.
