Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer, EIT, to join our Transportation team in our Oakdale office. This entry-level civil engineering role seeks an EIT who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Communities. The majority of your time will be spent assisting project managers and engineers in design and construction activities on transportation projects. This position is open to a May 2025 graduate or an experienced EIT with 1-3 years of experience.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Assist Project Engineers with design and construction activities on transportation projects
• Perform basic design computations, preliminary layout, and feasibility studies
• Assist with project plans, specifications, and cost estimates
• Contribute to traffic corridor studies related to traffic operations, safety, and access management
• Support the design of traffic control devices and infrastructure components
• Participate in construction observation and administration tasks

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college
• Engineer-in-Training certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
• Prior experience in infrastructure design or construction observation
• Knowledge of CAD and design software (AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation)
• Developing knowledge of traffic software (e.g., SYNCHRO, VISSIM) is preferred
• Willingness to travel during construction season
• Valid driver's license

Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience and credentials
