Job summary

Doosan Bobcat in North Dakota offers a student co-op or internship program across multiple locations, including Bismarck and Gwinner. A co‑op is a full‑time, eight‑month experience; an internship is a part‑time opportunity lasting up to four months, designed to pair academics with real‑world projects while you complete your undergraduate degree.

You will assist in creating and editing engineering drawings using Creo, manage ECNs and BOMs, support prototype builds and testing, analyze results,

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Commit to full-time for eight months (co-op) or four months (internship).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.

Internship: A semester long opportunity, Internship positions are a part‑time employment experience. With the opportunity to extend multiple semesters, Interns tap into the foundations of our corporate and production industries.

Co‑op and Intern opportunities span across 18 of Bobcat’s different functions.

Role & Responsibility

• Assist in creating and modifying parts and engineering drawings using tools like Creo.
• Update Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Support prototype builds, testing, and maintenance of engineering equipment.
• Analyze test results to improve product designs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (e.g., production, service, marketing) to solve design challenges and contribute to product development.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on product improvements.

Job Requirement

• Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing seeking a degree in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 3.0 or higher GPA preferred
• Be able to commit full‑time to Bobcat for the entire term of the co‑op (8 months) or internship (4‑months)
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
• Communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility.

The salary range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour depending on experience and other factors.
