Job summary

Colonial Staffing Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to join its growing manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled SolidWorks professional with extensive sheet metal design experience and the ability to mentor junior designers.

You will create detailed 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and fabrication packages, collaborate with manufacturing to ensure designs are practical, and manage multiple projects independently with minimal oversight.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Extensive experience designing sheet metal components and assemblies.
• Deep understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, tolerances, and manufacturing methods.
• Ability to create complete drawing packages and manufacturing documentation.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience mentoring or leading less experienced designers.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Associate degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, CAD Technology, or equivalent preferred.
