Job summary

REALIGN LLC is seeking a skilled mechanical design engineer in Wisconsin to contribute to automotive component development. The role involves concept design, modeling, and detailing using Creo, with emphasis on sheet metal and plastic parts.

Qualified candidates will have GD&T knowledge, experience with PLM tools, and strong problem-solving abilities, enabling independent work on design concepts and development processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in understanding mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency with Creo and PLM tools.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Hands-on Creo-Part, Assembly and Surfacing for concept models.
• Designing of sheet metals and plastic parts.
• Knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing drawings.
• Knowledge of automotive design phases including ECN/PPAP and documentation.
• Knowledge of sheet metal press tools, fixtures and gauge design; VAVE.

Responsibilities

• Work independently on design conceptual jobs.
• Generate concept models using Creo-Part, Assembly and Surfacing.
• Apply GD&T and prepare manufacturing drawings.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

1. Experience in understanding mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
2. Experience or demonstrated capability in mechanical design and product development.
3. Proficiency with CAD (Creo) and PLM tools.
4. Strong problem solving and communication skills.

• Should be able to work independently on design conceptual jobs
• Hands on experience in Creo-Part, Assembly and Surfacing to generate Concept Models
• Should have hands on experience in designing of sheet metals, plastic parts.
• Should have hands on experience in practical knowledge of GD&T, Manufacturing drawings
• Knowledge on phases of the design process and development process for Automotive components including drafting, dimensioning, tolerancing, prototyping, ECN, PPAP and documenting results would be an added advantage
• Knowledge on different automotive product design and sheet metal press tools, fixture and gauge design, reverse engineering, Stack‑Up, VAVE would be an added advantage.
