Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Wisconsin seeks an experienced mechanical design engineer to work on automotive components, utilizing Creo for part, assembly and surfacing, and GD&T knowledge.

You will contribute to design concepts, apply PLM tools, and collaborate to develop sheet metal and plastic parts, with a focus on manufacturing drawings and ECN/PPAP processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in understanding mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience or demonstrated capability in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency with CAD (Creo) and PLM tools.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Should be able to work independently on design conceptual jobs.
• Hands on experience in Creo-Part, Assembly and Surfacing to generate Concept Models.
• Should have hands on experience in designing of sheet metals, plastic parts.
• Should have hands on experience in practical knowledge of GD&T, Manufacturing drawings.
• Knowledge on phases of the design process and development process for Automotive components including drafting, dimensioning, tolerancing, prototyping, ECN, PPAP and documenting results would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on different automotive product design and sheet metal press tools, fixture and gauge design, reverse engineering, Stack-Up, VAVE would be an added advantage.
