Job summary

Gray’s Specialty Equipment segment is hiring a Design Engineer to develop fabricated components and systems in a high-precision stainless steel environment. You’ll analyze requirements, craft manufacturable designs, perform calculations, and collaborate with operations, sourcing, quality, and customers to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions.

Senior roles mentor others, lead complex design efforts, and coordinate with project management to ensure on-time completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3D CAD experience, preferably SolidWorks.
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
• Knowledge of GD&T principles.
• Experience with FMEA, DVP&R, Quality Control.
• Strong project development and leadership skills.
• Customer interaction and ability to work under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Create designs, specifications, models, BOMs, and manufacturing drawings with engineers and drafters.
• Coordinate with production to ensure manufacturability and tolerances.
• Ensure safety, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
