Job summary

INTEC INFRA Technologies seeks a Design Engineer- Plumbing & Fire Fighting to lead complex projects for AEC clients globally. You will apply advanced engineering judgement to plumbing and fire protection system designs, ensuring code compliance and optimal system sizing.

The role requires 8+ years in consultant design, strong communication with international clients, and hands-on BIM tools like AutoCAD, REVIT-MEP, and Navisworks. Prior leadership of multidisciplinary teams is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 8+ years of consultant design experience.
• Experience in BIM projects for high-rise buildings, commercial and residential infrastructure.
• Strong verbal and written communication with international clients.

Responsibilities

• Apply professional knowledge and independently design complex projects.
• Adequate knowledge in Plumbing design hydraulic, water balancing, pump head, tank sizing, septic sizing, sump pits, heater calculations; pipe sizing for soil, waste & vent, storm water, and rainwater storage.
• Selection of booster pumps, submersible pumps, and hot & cold-water systems.
• In-depth knowledge of IPC plumbing codes and practices; familiarity with American practice codes is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of NFPA codes & standard practices; fire protection system design.
• Well-versed in estimation for RFPs.
• Responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating technical and management requirements.
• Effective communication and coordination in multi-discipline projects.
• Mentor and train Mechanical engineering staff.

Design Engineer- Plumbing & Fire Fighting.

Responsibilities:

• Apply professional knowledge, experienced judgement, and independently designing complex projects.
• Adequate knowledge in Plumbing design Hydraulic; Water balancing calculations; Pump Head Calculations; Water tank sizing; Septic tank sizing; Sump pit sizing; Central water heater calculations. Pipe sizing - Soil, Waste, & Vent pipes, Storm water; Rainwater storage capacity.
• Selection of Booster pumps, submersible pumps, Hot & Cold-water system.
• In-depth knowledge in IPC International plumbing codes and practices, Familiar to American practice codes is added advantage.
• Adequate knowledge in Fire Protection System Design Sprinkler Piping, Standpipe Design, Fire Tank sizing, FM 200, Foam Calculations,
• In-depth knowledge in NFPA codes & standard practices
• Well conversant with estimation for RFPs.
• Responsible in planning, scheduling, and coordinating the technical and management requirements.
• Effective communication & coordination in multi discipline projects.
• Mentor - Guiding, training, knowledge, and skill development of Mechanical engineering staff.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university with minimum of 8 years of experience in consultant design, managing complex building services MEP Design BIM projects - like high rise buildings, commercial & residential, Infrastructure.
• Master’s degree holders will be preferred.
• Effective management of team members for the projects.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with international clients and contractors is mandatory.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT-MEP, Navisworks is an added advantage.
