This entry-level civil engineering role seeks an EIT to help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable, and Beautiful Communities! The majority of your time will be spent assisting project managers and engineers in design and construction activities on Municipal projects. The position is open to December 2024, May 2025 graduates, or an experienced EIT with 1-3 years of experience.

What You Will Be Doing

• Assist Project Engineers with design and construction phase activities on municipal projects
• Perform basic design computations, preliminary layout and design, research, and prepare rough drafts of reports and feasibility studies
• Assist with project plans and specifications, preparing cost and quantity estimates
• Perform construction observation activities, including staking, documentation, measuring, testing, and interacting with contractors, residents, and City staff

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college
• Certified Engineer-in-Training or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
• Prior experience in infrastructure design and/or construction observation
• Knowledge and skills in CAD and design software (AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation)
• Willingness to travel during construction season
• Valid driver’s license for travel to various sites

Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000, depending on experience and credentials
