Job summary

Phoenix Stamping Group, LLC is seeking a Design Engineer to drive mechanical design in a fast-paced stamping environment. You will create 3D models, design tooling and fixtures, and support manufacturing launches with robust design data and validation.

Qualifications include a BS in Mechanical Engineering or Technology and 3–5+ years in mechanical design, with strong GD&T, DFM knowledge, and experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Autodesk Inventor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3–5+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Strong understanding of metal stamping processes and DFM principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Hands-on in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate designs and customer documentation for critical characteristics.
• Create 3D part models to support design data needs.
• Design tooling and fixtures for manufacturing.
• Develop prototypes and oversee testing/validation.
• Lead project launches from start to finish.
