Job summary

Scope Technical is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment in Athens, GA. You will create detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks, Revit, and related CAD tools, and support product development from concept through fabrication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience using SolidWorks, Revit, and other CAD/design software.
• Background in designing industrial equipment, machinery, or engineered systems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop industrial equipment and mechanical systems using 3D modeling software
• Create detailed models, assemblies, layouts, and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks and Revit
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams throughout the design process
• Review specifications, project requirements, and customer needs to develop effective design solutions
• Support prototype development, testing, and design modifications

Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and development of industrial equipment and engineered systems within a manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation using SolidWorks, Revit, and other CAD/design software. The ideal candidate will have experience designing mechanical systems and industrial equipment, as well as a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication, and product development.
