Qualifications

• 5–7 years relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to develop and articulate product design concepts
• Experience in Heavy structure, chassis, upper frame
• Experience in welding and fabrication design
• Experience in off highway trucks/mining products
• Ability to independently solve problems
• Experience in mechanical system integration and/or fabrication
• Well versed with Caterpillar tools and processes
• Proven experience in CAD tools (CREO or similar), Teamcenter, VisMockup, Caterpillar print creation and releasing process

Responsibilities

• Develop and iterate design concepts for light and heavy structures.
• Create CAD models and release drawings per CAT processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration.
• Support welding and fabrication design activities.
• Ensure CAT tooling and release standards are followed.
