Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to modify, critique, and release equipment designs, and to collaborate across teams to produce 3D layouts and installation drawings. The role requires hands-on CAD work, documentation, and strong coordination with automation and commissioning engineers.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or Technology, experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and the ability to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Technology highly preferred.
• Technical writing and documentation experience highly preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
• AutoCAD experience.
• SolidWorks experience.
• Eligibility to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
• Ability to follow information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report suspected security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Modify, critique, and release equipment designs per customer and Toyota Automated Logistics specifications.
• Collaborate with Automation, Controls, or Commissioning engineers to create 3D layouts for system studies.
• Create detailed installation and layout drawings.
• Troubleshoot and modify manufactured equipment, updating SolidWorks models to create As-Built packages.
• Communicate schedules, design concepts, and training to personnel at Toyota Automated Logistics and end user facilities.
• Create and modify mechanical manuals, maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting guides.
