Qualifications

• Experience in fuse box design and automotive electrical components.
• NX CAD experience required.
• Experience with program/project management and timelines.
• Experience with OEMs like Stellantis, Ford, Rivian, or GM is a plus.
• Candidate must have mechanical engineering and project management experience.

• Create and maintain project timelines and due dates.
• Interface with customers; meetings, design reviews, build support, etc.
• Interface with suppliers; meetings, design reviews, FOT Orders, etc.
• Support and conduct internal meetings and design reviews.
• Interpret, maintain and develop schematics, bills of materials (BOMs) and drawings.
• Collaborate with team and develop DFMEA, DVP&R and 5P documents.
• Interpret and apply GD&T to SEWS drawings.
• Travel may be required (>10%).
• Lead and collaborate with the team to develop Continuous Improvement Activities.

Job description

SEWS --- Farmington Hills, Michigan Office. Although located at SEWS -- Farmington Hills Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work. Associates are required to work at least four days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.

JOB TITLE: Project Management / Design Engineer III

BASIC PURPOSE:

Design Engineer III will support the design and development of electro-mechanical junction boxes. This position will serve as a hybrid Technical Project Manager and Engineering Support for all ongoing development projects, while also providing engineering support as needed. The primary responsibility will be project management, with engineering support provided between project management tasks.

1. This is a hybrid work position following company policy (currently requiring at least four days in the office and one day working from home). Upon manager's discretion, skill-development needs, project status, and other factors, employees may be required to work in the office all 5 days.
2. Create and maintain project timelines and due dates.
3. Interface with customers; meetings, design reviews, build support, etc.
4. Interface with suppliers; meetings, design Reviews, FOT Orders, etc.
5. Support and conduct internal meetings and design reviews.
