Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America is seeking a Design Engineer II to design and analyze structures that support and shape the built environment. You will provide project coordination and structural design services and models for customers.

You will produce well-utilized designs of members and connections for Detailing and Manufacturing, ensure structural integrity and safety, and collaborate with project teams to meet schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Strong technical and communication skills are essential.
• Experience coordinating design projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses engineering systems and drawings to provide project coordination and structural design services.
• Develops well-utilized designs of members and connections for detailing and manufacturing.
• Ensures building structural integrity and safety.
• Collaborates with project teams to discuss problems and create cost-efficient solutions.
• Provides technical assistance to customers on specific projects.
