Job summary

Fimco-Industries in North Sioux City, SD, is seeking a Design Engineer II to design, develop, and implement new manufactured products and proprietary equipment, and improve existing products. You will collaborate with Sales and Management, perform design for manufacturability reviews, manage BOMs, support manufacturing, and coordinate with production to meet development timelines.

This full-time role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and hands-on experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, and

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
4+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with ERP management software is required.
Experience with welding, sheet metal fabrication, hydraulics or plastics molding is preferred.

Responsibilities

Originates and develops product designs based on customer needs and company products.
Performs studies of components and assemblies to meet performance specs.
Plans testing requirements and reviews manufacturability and BOMs.
Supports manufacturing, purchasing, sales, and management teams.
Maintains engineering documents and coordinates with production to meet timelines.
Other duties as assigned.
