Job summary
ONE Gas, Inc. is seeking an intermediate-level engineer to support design, operation, and maintenance of pipeline and storage systems. You will coordinate projects across regions and departments, and work with contractors and regulatory personnel.
The role demands 2–4 years of relevant experience, knowledge of pipeline standards, and proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, Synergi, Excel, and related software. Strong communication skills and English fluency are required.
Qualifications
- Two to four years of relevant professional experience (minimum one year).
- Knowledge of piping plan standards and related governmental regulations.
- Experience with math, algebra, calculus, and statistics.
- Experience using GIS, AutoCAD, Synergi, Excel, Access, Technical Toolbox, Copperleaf, Maximo, Solidworks or equivalent software.
- Experience in interpersonal/communication skills and customer service policies.
- Experience reading and interpreting governmental regulations, blueprints, contracts, manuals, specifications, and reports.
- Fluent reading/writing in English.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform engineering activities related to design, operation, and maintenance of pipeline and storage systems.
- Coordinate projects among regions and departments, and external agencies and contractors.
- Provide technical and engineering assistance on meters, regulators, and facility design and sizing.
- Perform pipeline modeling, material specs, right-of-way and permitting tasks as needed.
- Prepare information such as pipeline system capacity and risk studies, and bid proposals.
- Attend to duties with regular attendance and perform additional tasks as assigned.
