Job summary

CNH Industrial is seeking a Design Engineer II to join the tractor product development team. You will create electrical routing, wire harnesses, and mounting solutions from concept through release, supporting production. The role offers a hybrid work model based out of Oak Brook, IL or Racine, WI.

You will coordinate with electronics, mechanical, and other teams to ensure integrated designs and timely program milestones, while contributing to design reviews and field issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural, Automotive Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of design and product development experience with on-road or off-road vehicles or equipment.
• 3+ years of experience with Pro/ENGINEER Creo or other 3D CAD tool.
• Working knowledge of electrical circuits, schematics, wire harness design and vehicle electrical integration.
• Ability to work with moderate guidance, manage priorities and deliver on quality and timing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project coordination, and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust wire harness, cable, bracket, and electrical component mounting solutions.
• Deliver designs that meet quality, cost, performance, and timing targets.
• Coordinate interfaces with electronics, mechanical, vehicle architecture, and other teams.
• Conduct design reviews to incorporate cross-functional feedback and support industrialization.
• Create installation drawings for harness and cable routing, electrical components, and brackets.
• Complete engineering releases for assigned systems aligned with milestones.
• Investigate field issues and warranty claims, determine root causes, implement corrective designs.
• Prepare work orders and support procurement and installation for prototype builds.
• Provide hands-on support during prototype builds and field operations.
