Job summary

JobDiva, Inc. in Illinois is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems & Harness Design Engineer to support the development of wiring harnesses for heavy construction and mining equipment. This role focuses on new product development and electrical systems integration across platforms.

You will lead design efforts, coordinate with offshore teams, and ensure wiring harnesses meet EMC/EMI standards. Responsibilities include creating BOMs, wiring specs, sensor integration, and robust routing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical or related field.
Proven experience designing electrical systems and wiring harnesses.
Experience with both new product development and retrofit programs.
Strong understanding of routed systems, sensors, and electrical integration on heavy equipment.
Proficiency with Creo for 3D modeling and wiring harness design; EMC/ EMI standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical systems and wiring harnesses for new equipment programs and retrofit kits.
Integrate sensors, controllers, and harnesses into machine platforms using CAD; ensure fit and function.
Generate detailed design documentation, including BOMs and wiring specifications.
Coordinate execution with offshore engineering team and review offshore outputs.
Support build, test, and validation activities; ensure regulatory and best practice compliance.
