Job summary

System One is seeking a Design Engineer II to join our onsite team in Seminole, OK. You will design new aerospace environmental control components, support product lifecycles, and analyze requirements to craft robust engineering solutions.

You will produce technical drawings, test plans, and documentation while coordinating with manufacturing and QA teams. The role requires a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 2–4 years of relevant aerospace ECS experience, with CAD tools proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience developing aerospace environmental control system components and systems.
• Experience with CAD design tools and engineering documentation practices.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Design new product and support all phases of the product lifecycle, including development, testing, and manufacturing.
• Analyze customer requirements and develop engineering solutions to meet project specifications.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, test plans, and reports.
• Support DFX efforts, focusing on design to cost, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Conduct testing in research and development labs, and analyze test data to validate designs.
• Communicate project status and technical issues effectively with stakeholders.
• Assist in proposal preparation and customer presentations, interacting with clients and suppliers on technical matters.
• Maintain proper documentation and project files in accordance with company guidelines.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, and business development teams.
• Make recommendations for design, process improvements, or cost reductions based on testing and analysis.
• Support existing product lines and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field required.
• 2 – 4 years of experience in developing aerospace environmental control system components and systems.
• Experience with RTCA/DO-160 standards and awareness of aerospace Supplemental Type Certification (STC) process preferred.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling and drawing tools such as SolidWorks or AutoDesk; certification is a plus.
• Working knowledge of CAD design and analysis tools.
• Experience with environmental control systems and aerospace components.
• Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and documentation practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, including MS Project and Outlook.
• Ability to work onsite in Seminole, OK, and travel domestically and internationally up to 5%.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
