Job summary

Marvin in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Design Engineer I to join our engineering team. You will participate in product design activities, develop designs, and perform basic engineering analysis to meet project goals.

You will support design schedules, test activities and communicate design status across peers and cross-functional teams. You will perform basic calculations, review designs for fit and function, and work with operations, materials, and project managers to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Experience in design and/or manufacturing processes preferred.
• Working knowledge of 2D and 3D Modeling software (Inventor preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Familiar with product components and designs and how they relate to project performance goals.
• Willing to participate and contribute to a team environment with good communication and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of design, schedules and test plans and execute test plans to validate designs.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analysis; work with vendors to develop production part designs.
• Verify drawings for correct dimensions and design intent; ensure fit, form and function.
• Communicate design activities to peers and cross‑functional teams; collaborate with operations, materials, marketing, sales and project managers.
