Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group in Fargo, ND seeks a Design Engineer I to scope, design and develop electrical service systems for new customers, interfacing with clients and field crews on site as needed.

You will contribute to grid improvement projects, perform cost estimation, and deliver design packages that meet customer needs, in a hybrid work environment with mentorship and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 0–1 years of relevant work experience in consulting or related field.
• Knowledge of CAD or GIS design is a plus.
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity, including up to 20% local fielding responsibilities.

Description

Design the grid and your future! As a Design Engineer I at ENTRUST Solutions Group, you’ll work on real electric utility projects, learn from experienced mentors, and grow your career in a supportive team environment. You’ll help design overhead and underground power distribution projects that support grid improvements and utility upgrades.

What You’ll Do:

• The objective of this role is to scope, design and develop electrical service systems for new customers.

• You will be responsible for customer interaction, scoping and cost estimation.

• You will be responsible for providing a design package that meets customer needs.

• You will often meet with the customer and construction crews on site to review the scope of our design and discuss project execution.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university

• 0–1 years of relevant work experience in consulting or a related field

• Knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or GIS design is a plus

• Strong work ethic with a desire to work in a production environment

• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity, including up 20% local fielding responsibilities to support project and client needs

• This position pays between $70,000 and 74,000 annually and is an exempt position.. The specific amount within this range will be influenced by the work location and various factors, such as internal equity, professional skills, work experience, and pertinent education or training. Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and retirement program with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full-time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
