Job summary

Scope Labs is seeking a Design Engineer to bridge design and development. You will craft expressive, accessible interfaces with a focus on micro-interactions, motion, and consistency.

You’ll collaborate with designers and engineers to prototype, refine, and ship production-quality UI using React, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks. You’ll help shape Scope’s design language, build reusable components, and contribute across branding, marketing pages, and client work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in product design, front-end development, or a hybrid role with strong coding ability.
• Strong portfolio with polished digital products and good interaction design.
• Experience building with React or React frameworks like Next.js.
• Proficiency in Figma and design-system workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own features from ambiguity to execution and delivery.
• Design in Figma and code across React interfaces.
• Shape user experience with clear IA, workflows, and responsive behavior.
• Craft delightful interfaces with motion, performance, and accessibility in mind.
• Build reusable components and design-system foundations for consistency.
• Advocate for high-quality front-end architecture and best practices.
• Prototype quickly using React, Claude Code, or Figma.
• Contribute branding, landing pages, and marketing visuals as needed.
• Improve internal design-eng workflows and shared libraries.
• Communicate design decisions clearly to clients and teammates.
• Own workload, surface risks early, and ensure quality craft.
