Job summary

Obble is seeking a designer who can pair product design with front-end engineering to shape a data-heavy application from concept through production. You will own both design decisions and the code that brings them to life, delivering interfaces that are clear, accessible, and visually cohesive for demanding users.

This role blends strategy, interaction design, and implementation to create consistent, scalable experiences across complex workflows.

Qualifications

• Portfolio of interfaces you personally designed and built, not only concepts.
• Strong working knowledge of React and CSS.
• Judgment around layout, typography, spacing, hierarchy and interaction design.
• Ability to own problems end-to-end from definition to shipped result.
• Comfort communicating design rationale and tradeoffs.

Requirements

• A portfolio demonstrating interfaces you personally designed and built, with emphasis on completed, real-world screens rather than only conceptual work.
• Strong working knowledge of React and CSS.
• Well-developed judgment around layout, typography, spacing, hierarchy, and interaction design.
• Ability to work independently across design and implementation, taking ownership from problem definition to shipped result.
• Comfort making product-level tradeoffs and communicating design rationale clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tailwind or Next.js.
• Familiarity with motion and interactive graphics using tools or techniques such as Framer Motion, WebGL, or canvas.
• Previous experience designing data-dense interfaces or other professional productivity tools.
