Helen of Troy's Engineering team seeks a Design Engineer to shape innovative products for OXO, Hydro Flask, and Osprey. The role is in New York, NY, with hybrid work—onsite Tue–Thu and optional remote Mon & Fri.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design, 2+ years in product development, and a strong CAD portfolio (SolidWorks). You will drive mechanical design, collaborate with industrial designers, and ensure manufacturability and cost targets.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design.
• 2+ years of product development experience.
• Portfolio (PDF or website) required.
• Experience with 3D CAD.
• Willingness to travel domestically and work in the US.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Responsibilities

• Lead design-engineering segment within a design team.
• Collaborate with industrial designers through the product development cycle.
• Design product architecture through mechanical design solutions.
• Create solutions that improve performance and user experience.
• Engineer interfaces with manufacturing within project budgets.
• Produce CAD models and assemblies for evaluation.
• Prototype and test concepts with proofs of concept.
• Present test results and design status to team and managers.
• Design to meet project brief, schedules, costs.
• Support new products from first production through pilot.
