Job summary

Power Connector, LLC is seeking a Design Engineer to advance our product line through CAD-driven design, new product introductions, and manufacturability improvements. You will work with engineering, sales, procurement, and production teams to deliver innovative connector solutions.

The role requires 3–5 years of design engineering and 2–5 years in electrical connector design, with strong CAD (SolidWorks) skills and GD&T proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of design engineering experience.
• 2–5 years of electrical connector design experience.
• Ability to create 3D CAD models and drawings.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, test procedures, etc.
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Good written and spoken communication; teamwork orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist R&D: research, new product introduction, and production deployment.
• Create CAD models, drawings, specs, and prototypes using SolidWorks.
• Modify existing products to improve efficiency and performance.
• Design for manufacturability and cost optimization.
• Research materials and production costs for manufacturing needs.
• Ensure designs meet customer and government specs and safety standards.
• Test designs and analyze results for improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, procurement, and production teams.
• Present designs and prototypes to customers and colleagues.
• Create BOMs and routings for new and legacy products and changes.
