Job Summary

Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Director, you'll collaborate with experienced engineers and designers to develop and refine innovative design solutions. You'll use CAD software to create detailed models and drawings, assist in prototype development, and contribute to design reviews. This position is ideal for developing your skills and advancing your career.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to create and refine detailed design models and drawings.
  • Conduct research and gather data to support design decisions.
  • Produce and implement designs, drawings, and test documentation for electrical system specifications.
  • Understand applicable FMVSS, state, and customer requirements.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Support troubleshooting during design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks, Zuken E3, or similar software.
  • Technical mindset with project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent technical communication skills.
  • Teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt.
  • Understanding of CAN bus/J1939 data links and multiplexing.
Basic Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Internship or co-op experience in design engineering is a plus.
