Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Design Engineer in Ventura, California, to design patient‑specific TMJ implants within the Customized Implants division. You will work closely with surgeons and clinical specialists to translate patient needs into precise designs.

Responsibilities include evaluating CT scans, creating 3D implant designs in CAD (SolidWorks), and preparing design review packages, while coordinating with manufacturing and service teams to ensure smooth transfer and production readiness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 0 years of experience in engineering, design, or related technical discipline
  • Strong customer focus and exceptional communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Design patient‑specific TMJ implants in accordance with established engineering procedures and surgeon preference listings
  • Evaluate CT scans and anatomical models for image quality, reference geometry, and suitability for design
  • Create 3D implant designs using CAD software based on surgeon input and patient‑specific anatomy
  • Prepare design review packages, manufacturing drawings, and surgeon approval schematics
  • Partner with surgeons and field teams to incorporate patient‑specific requirements into final designs
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and customer service teams to support design transfer and production readiness
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and clinical partners regarding design progress and updates
  • Maintain accurate design documentation and meet defined turnaround timelines for each case

As a Design Engineer, you will gain hands‑on experience in a collaborative environment, working closely with experienced designers and clinical specialists to create patient‑specific solutions.

What You Will Do

Required Qualifications

Compensation

US10: $76,500 - $122,000 USD Annual
