Horsburgh & Scott seeks a Mechanical Engineer to perform engineering functions for custom design products in a manufacturing setting in Ohio. You will analyze gear tooth geometry, bearing life, shaft deflection, lubrication systems, housing and drive layouts, and review drawings for shop release.

Requires a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and at least five years in linear/rotational machine design, plus 3-D modeling (SolidWorks) and ERP (BaaN) familiarity.

Qualificações

• B.S. Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum five years' experience in linear/rotational machine design.
• 3-D modeling experience; SolidWorks preferred.
• Able to read and understand machine drawings.
• BaaN (ERP) experience is a plus.
• Microsoft Office applications proficiency.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Creative thinker and problem solver.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Participate in H&S safety program.

Responsabilidades

• Perform engineering functions for custom design products.
• Gear tooth geometry analysis and ratings.
• Bearings life analysis and selection.
• Assembly and testing notes preparation.
• Review and approve drawings for release to the shop.
• Enter requisition text for major raw material items into BaaN.
• Gear shaft deflection analysis.
• Lubrication system design.
• Housing design and gear drive layout.
• Disposition Nonconforming Material Reports (NMRs).
• Support shop/assembly when questions arise.
• Create detailed drawings when necessary.
