Job summary

Conair LLC in Stamford, CT is seeking a Design Engineer to shape the next generation of culinary products. You will develop mechanical and electromechanical designs, create 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs, and collaborate across disciplines to turn concepts into production-ready solutions.

You will prototype, test, and refine designs using FEA, thermal and fluid analysis, lead design reviews, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree or training is a plus.
• 5+ years designing heated or motorized culinary equipment or electromechanical products.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and drawing GD&T; experience with PDM/PLM systems.
• Experience from concept through prototyping to production release.

Responsibilities

• Create mechanical and electromechanical designs from concept through production release.
• Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, 2D drawings, and BOMs with GD&T.
• Translate requirements into engineering specifications and solutions.
• Design parts for molding, casting, sheet metal, machining, and other processes.
• Build, test, and refine prototypes using FEA, thermal, and fluid analyses.
• Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to refine tooling.
• Define design verification tests with Validation and Certification teams.
• Apply DFM/DFA to optimize quality, cost, and manufacturability.
• Share CAD standards and engineering best practices.
