Job summary

Hensley Industries, a Komatsu subsidiary, seeks a Design Engineer in Dallas to create and revise 3‑D models and drawings for new and existing products. You will prototype concepts, help inspect first articles, and address customer issues with data supported by Creo and FEA tools.

Requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and 2+ years in Creo design, 2D drawings, and product development. Travel within the US may be required; strong MS Office and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of Creo Parametric 3‑D design, solid modeling, and assemblies experience.
• 2+ years in 2‑D drawings using Creo Parametric.
• Experience with surface modeling preferred.
• 1+ years in FEA using Creo Simulate or Ansys preferred.
• 1+ years in basic design calculations and tolerance stack‑ups.
• 1+ years using PLM software (Windchill) preferred.
• Experience in new product development and revising existing products.
• Experience in mining/construction wear parts is a plus.
• Must be proficient in MS Office; strong communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design and create 3‑D models and engineering drawings for new products.
• Revise 3‑D models and drawings for existing products.
• Research, develop concepts, and test prototypes.
• Assist in first article inspections and implement corrections.
• Support in resolving product‑related customer complaints.
• Provide technical data to QC/QA and Sales for inspections and marketing.
• Assist Manufacturing with rework reduction and control.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
