Job summary

Crest Industries, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer with a Civil or Structural background to design steel utility structures for high-voltage substations and transmission lines. You will own projects from calculations to fabrication, collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers.

The role requires a PE license, a minimum of four years of relevant experience, and proficiency with PLS-POLE and STAAD.Pro. Remote work may be considered based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Current Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum of four years of experience designing transmission/substation structures for high-voltage utilities.
• Strong experience with PLS-POLE and STAAD.Pro.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform conceptual, preliminary, and final design calculations for HV transmission, distribution, and substation steel structures.
• Design and interpret drawings for transmission and substation structures.
• Coordinate schedules, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation through the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Detailing, Estimating, Sales, Production, Quality, and other teams.
