Job summary

Infra Tech Engineering, LLC (ITE) is seeking a Structural Engineer to prepare and review design documents for facility and bridge projects in the NYC metro area. The candidate will coordinate between disciplines, perform site inspections, and develop drawings and calculations for rehabilitation and new construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college.
• Licensed NYS Professional Engineer preferred.
• ASCE Grade IV certification or above.
• Approximately 3–5 years of project engineering experience from design development to opening, including at least one completed high profile bridge project.
• Experience working in integrated teams.
• Experience with complex analysis tools for structural design.
• Experience with NYSDOT Design standards, AASHTO, NYCDOT CADD specifications, etc.

Candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing structural design documents of facility and bridge projects for compliance with applicable code and technical standards. The objective is to build and maintain a positive client relationship, and to achieve or exceed the estimated profit margin for the project.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities for the Structural Engineer position include Bridge Design projects for NYC Metro region clients. Daily tasks include drawing development, coordination between disciplines, internal meetings, and structural design. Development of structural drawings, specifications, and calculations for rehabilitation and new construction of roadway and highway bridges. Perform site inspections and condition assessments of existing bridges and structures under construction. Coordinate between various disciplines, development of contract drawings and specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil engineering from accredited college
  
• Licensed NYS PE preferred.
  
• Qualified for ASCE Grade IV and above
  
• Approximately 3 - 5 years project engineering experience, from design development to opening, including at least one completed high profile bridge project.
