Job summary

Clopay Corporation in Mason, Ohio is seeking a Design Engineer to maintain engineering standards, create 3D models with Inventor, and support production with DFMs and new product introductions.

The role requires an associate or bachelor's in mechanical engineering, proficiency with Inventor, and hands-on shop tool knowledge; EIT preferred and familiarity with motors and electrical control equipment.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor for 3D modeling.
• Working knowledge of hand tools and basic shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain engineering standards and drawings with ECOs.
• Complete line extensions to expand product offering.
• Develop 3D models of parts and assemblies using Inventor.
• Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing, Marketing on product launches.
• Identify cost reductions and product improvements.
• Provide internal/external customer support as needed.
